Young Traders Market – Terms and Conditions of Application

1. Eligibility - Applicants must be aged 16–30 on or before 28th August 2026 to be judged. Traders under 16 may participate with adult supervision and written parental/guardian consent, but cannot be judged. Traders over 30 may take part but will not be eligible for regional or national judging.

2. Application Process - All applications must be completed in full and submitted by8th May 2026.Incomplete or late applications may not be accepted. The organisers reserve the right to reject any application without explanation.

3. Trading Requirements - All traders must arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM for set-up and be ready to trade by 9:00 AM. Trading must continue until 4:00 PM, unless agreed otherwise with organisers. Traders are responsible for the tidiness, safety, and decoration of their stall.

4. Health & Safety - All traders must comply with event safety rules and any instructions given by event staff. - Cables must be covered, no overhanging wires permitted. Food traders must hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate and comply with environmental health standards.

5. Insurance - Public Liability Insurance is strongly encouraged. Traders who do not hold their own insurance must confirm this in the application. Event cover may apply but at the organiser’s discretion and liability is limited.

6. Safeguarding (Under 18s)Traders under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. A Parental Consent Form must be submitted. Traders under 16 are not eligible for judging.

7. Use of Media - By participating, you consent to the use of your name, image, and business details in marketing and publicity materials by Ilford BID, inIlford, and NMTF. Traders may be photographed or filmed during the event.

8. Cancellations and No-Shows - If you are unable to attend, please notify the organisers at least 48 hours in advance. No-shows without notice may affect eligibility for future events.

9. Judging - Judging criteria are set by NMTF and include product quality, branding, customer interaction, and business knowledge. The judge’s decision is final. Feedback may be provided on request.

10. Conduct - Traders are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. Offensive or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate removal and possible exclusion from future events.

11. Stall Equipment - A standard stall (gazebo, table, and cover) will be provided unless otherwise agreed. Traders are responsible for the safety and suitability of their own equipment if used.

12. Force Majeure - The organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event in the event of adverse weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond control, without liability.
