Markets in Bishop’s Stortford
Discover specialist markets in a historic market town
Pitch Markets and Events UK brings a programme of themed markets to North Street in Bishop’s Stortford.
During our current autumn programme, a different specialist market takes place each month. Each event brings its own mix of food, products and independent traders, giving visitors something new to experience on every visit.
About Bishop’s Stortford
Bishop’s Stortford is a historic Hertfordshire market town that developed around an ancient crossing of the River Stort.
Markets, coaching routes and river trade all contributed to the town’s growth. The arrival of the railway in the nineteenth century strengthened its connections with London and the surrounding region.
Today, Bishop’s Stortford combines its traditional market-town character with a busy centre offering shops, cafés, restaurants, leisure businesses and historic streets. North Street forms part of the town’s established shopping and market area, making it an ideal setting for specialist markets and community events.
